Therapy Staff

Kamlesh Verma, B.S., RT(T) - Has been a Radiation Therapist with the Radiation Oncology Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital since 1988. She received her radiation therapy training at Howard University Hospital, Georgetown Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Outside of the clinic, Ms. Verma enjoys reading, stamp collecting, cooking and gardening.


Mary Kaye Brune, B.S., RT(T) - Has served as a radiation therapist at the Potomac Hospital Radiation Oncology Center since 1992. She completed her radiation therapy training at the University of Missouri Medical Center where she worked for 5 years prior to coming to ROA. She is also the proud mother of 4 children and enjoys trips to the beach and skiing.


Debra Munger, A.S., RT(T) - Has served at the Lead Radiation Therapist at the Potomac Radiation Oncology Center since 2002. She completed her training at the Community College of San Francisco and has previously worked at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH, Alexandria Hospital, Reston Hospital and Mary Washington Hospital. She is the mother of 4 children and grandmother of 2 grandchildren living in Hawaii. She enjoys tending to her animals at her country home in rural Northern Virginia and gardening.


Sean Turney, RT(T) - Has served as a Radiation Therapist with the Radiation Oncology Department at Fairfax Hospital since 2003. He also works at the Inova TomoTherapy Center.


Mary Sue Just, RT(T) - Has served as a Radiation Therapist with the Potomac Hospital Radiation Oncology Center since 2003. She completed her training at the University of Virginia and has previously worked at the Fayette Regional Cancer Center and the Latrobe Area Hospital, both in Pennsylvania.


Ryan Huntley, B.S., RT(T) - Joined the Radiation Oncology Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital in 2006. He is originally from California and has had prior experience at the St. Teresa Cancer Center in Stockton, CA; the South Sacramento Cancer Center; and Kaiser Permanente Radiation Oncology in Los Angeles, CA.


Kerry Gravely, B.S., RT(T) - Joined the Radiation Oncology Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital in 2007. She originally hails from Martinsville, VA and completed her radiation therapy training at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Medical College of Virginia. Her hobbies include painting, skiing and canoeing.


Greg Berger, RT(T) - Joined the Radiation Oncology Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital in 2007. He received his radiation therapy training at the Western Pennsylvania Allegheny Health System. Prior to coming to Inova he worked as an Emergency Medical Technician. His hobbies include motorcycles and traveling.


Megan Jones, B.S., RT(T) - Joined the Radiation Oncology Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital in 2007. She completed her Bachelor’s in Radiation Therapy at Howard University and has since trained in many of the Washington, D.C. area’s most prestigious centers.


Mary Johnson, RT(T) - Joined the Radiation Oncology Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital in 2007. She completed her radiation therapy training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She has previously worked as a therapist at the Harvard Joint Center for Radiation Therapy, Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD; Hersey Medical Center; Dartmouth-Hitchcock Radiation Oncology in Lebanon, NH; Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey. She has also served as the Chief Therapist at the Heritage Hills Oncology Center in Littlestown, PA. Her hobbies include gardening and landscaping.


Kawsar Shopon, BS, RT(T) – Joined the Radiation Oncology Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital in 2008. Prior to working at Inova, he trained at the University Hospitals of Cleveland and received his Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Oncology from Wayne State University in Michigan. Outside of the clinic, Kawsar’s hobbies include soccer, basketball and traveling with his family.


David Kang, RT(T) - David joined our team as a Radiation Therapy Assistant in 2004, and in 2009 joined as a Radiation Therapist after completion of his training. His hobbies include movies and basketball. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son.


Matt Macapugay, ARRT, ASRT - Matt joined the Radiation Oncology Department in 2009. He completed his radiation therapy training at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He's worked as a radiation therapist since 1994 and brings experience from Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX, the University of Washington, St. Johns Hospital in Santa Monica, CA and the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance,CA. Outside of the clinic, Matt enjoys spending time with his family.


Awawu Umaru, RT(T) - Awawu joined the Radiation Oncology Department in 2009. She attended Howard University and completed her training at the Howard University partner facilities throughout the DC area. Prior to coming to Inova, she worked at the Washington Adventist Hospital. Awawu hails from the DC area and enjoys spending time with her large extended family and friends.


Christine Ku, RT(T) - Christine joined the Radiation Oncology Department in 2010. She completed her radiation therapy training at the Inova Health System facilities at Fairfax, Loudon, and Alexandria Hospitals as well ast at Potomac Hospital and Reston Hospital Center. Outside of the clinic, Christine enjoys fishing and martial arts.


Cora Johnson - Has worked as a Radiation Therapy Assistant with the Radiation Oncology Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital since 1985. Outside of the clinic she enjoys spending time with her family.


Diane Parizzi, CNA - Has served as a Radiation Therapy Assistant at the Potomac Radiation Oncology Center since 2002. Her training is as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She has prior clinical experience working as a CNA at the Pentagon City Hospital. She is also a part-time student and enjoys spending time with her 2 children. Her hobbies include reading, cross stitching and snorkeling.


Awawu Umaru, RT(T) - Awawu joined the Radiation Oncology Department in 2009.
