Corinne Cook, MSW, LCSW, OSW-C - Has served as our Social Worker with the Department of Radiation Oncology with the Inova Hospital System since 1999. Prior to coming to our department, she worked in case management at Inova Mt. Vernon and Inova Alexandria Hospitals. Her background also includes 19 years working in the Financial and Securities Industry on Wall Street, prior to transitioning into social work. She oversees coordination of our patients’ needs, including counseling, financial coordination, transportation and other individualized services. Corinne also coordinates educational and support group activities for our patients through Life With Cancer.
Julia Thorsen, M.S., R.D. - Has been a member of the Dietetics and Nutrition support staff at Inova Fairfax Hospital since 1991. She presently serves patients at both Inova Fairfax Hospital and the Inova TomoTherapy Center. She completed her Bachelor’s in Human Nutrition from Virginia Tech and her Master’s from George Mason University and is a Certified Diabetes Educator and an ACSM Certified Health Fitness Instructor.
Jane Miller, R.D. - Has been a member of the support staff at ROA since 1990. She presently serves as a Clinical Dietician at our Potomac Radiation Oncology Center. She received her B.S. in Food and Nutrition from Virginia Tech and did a dietetic internship at Penn State. Prior to coming to ROA she worked as a clinical dietician in Arizona and at a military hospital in Germany.
Judy Jones, B.S. - Has served as a Life With Cancer Volunteer in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Inova Fairfax Hospital for over 12 years. Her background includes a former career and post-graduate training in education. Presently she works with the Inova Life With Cancer program in patient education and advocacy. She’s a proud supporter of the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Walk, in which she has participated for the last 3 years. In her free time she enjoys singing, reading, writing poetry and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
