Susan Pierce, MD

Dr. Pierce joined the Inova Fairfax Hospital team in 1993, and for many years served as the Cancer Committee Chairman at Fairfax Hospital. Most of her clinical work is directed towards the treatment of breast cancer.

Dr. Pierce joined Fairfax Hospital in 1993 from the Harvard Joint Center for Radiation Therapy. She was an attending physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and provided breast cancer consultation services at The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Breast Evaluation Clinic and at Dr. Susan Love’s Breast Clinic in the Boston area. She has lectured and published research on breast cancer, and her area of interest and expertise is breast cancer management.

Dr. Pierce completed her residency training at The Harvard Joint Center for Radiation Therapy, where she was the Chief Resident during her final year. A native of the West coast, both her undergraduate and graduate medical training were at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Dr. Pierce is board certified in Radiation Oncology.
