Nurses

Denise Scoble, RN - Has served on the nursing staff in the Inova Hospital System since 1978. She has been with the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Inova Fairfax Hospital for over 15 years. Presently, she is the lead nurse at our Inova TomoTherapy Center and oversees nursing care at that facility. She completed her training at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Her prior work experience includes working as an intensive care unit nurse for the Veterans Affairs Administration Hospital. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her 2 children.


Donna Meyer, RN, BSN, OCN - Has served on the nursing staff in the Inova Hospital System since 1985. She has been the lead nurse at our Potomac Radiation Oncology Center in Woodbridge since 1991. Prior to joining our department she worked at the National Institutes of Health in the Pediatric Oncology Division and in the blood bank/apheresis unit. Her hobbies include scrapbooking and reading. She also enjoys spending time with her family and her 2 children.


Karole Nielsen, RN, BSN, OCN - Has served on the nursing staff in the Inova Hospital System for since 1988. She’s been with the Department of Radiation Oncology at Inova Fairfax Hospital for over 10 of those years. She completed her nursing education at The University of Virginia. Her prior job experience includes working in the gynecological surgery ward for over 10 years. She also worked in medical/surgical nursing at the George Washington University Hospital and for the American Red Cross as an apheresis specialist and as the nursing supervisor for Bloodmobile operations. She is a licensed basic life support (BLS) instructor.


Bea Catbay, RN, BSN - Has served on the nursing staff in the Inova Hospital System 1996. She’s been with the Department of Radiation Oncology at Inova Fairfax Hospital since 2004. Prior to joining our department she worked on the gynecological oncology ward at Inova Fairfax Hospital for over 8 years. Her prior work experience also includes working as a staff nurse on a medical/surgical unit in the Philippines and on a urological oncology ward at the Al Jahra Hospital in Kuwait, UAE. Her hobbies includes cooking , reading , & gardening. When she's off from work she loves to spend time with her husband and two daughters exploring museums in Washington D.C. and shopping with her 2 daughters.


Elizabeth Henegnan, RN, BSN – Elizabeth joined the Inova Health System in 2002 and came to the Radiation Oncology Department in 2008. She has had a broad range of nursing roles at prominent medical facilities throughout the country such as the University of Colorado, Stanford University Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center and the United States Navy. Outside of the clinic, Elizabeth enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and taking her Newfoundland for walks.
